Miles has been obsessed with Peter Pan for the past couple of months so he was thrilled to be Peter Pan for Halloween. I had grand plans to make him a costume but lack of time won out so we picked this one up at the Disney Store. :) He LIT UP when he first saw it and has worn at least part of the costume every day since we brought it home! Totally worth it.
On Sunday night, our church had a trunk-or-treat/hayride/cookout at one of our member's cabins in the country, and Miles was really excited to show everyone his Peter Pan costume.
On Wednesday, the local businesses in our small town hosted trick-or-treating for the kids at Miles' preschool.
On Halloween, Miles was tired of dressing as Peter Pan and didn't really want to put his costume on. He still wasn't feeling that great, and it was really cold (around 40 degrees once the sun set!) so we just decided to stay home and hand out candy. Our house is a on a street that's really popular for trick-or-treaters, and we usually get at least 500 kids. This year, we only counted trick-or-treaters and in a 2 hour span, we had 525 kids! (Lots of them had 2-3 adults with them so we estimate we probably had between 700 and 800 people come by our house!)
